OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM
99% of what you will learn will be through practice and experiencing.
It is important for you to understand that the concepts will be learned while you are feeling them and that most of our training is practical.
The theory that you will learn throughout the training and the practical classes will be handed to you at the end of each day.

Ashtanga Yoga Fundamentals
Integration of Movement into yoga sequences - transforming movement into yoga
Improvisation: Getting to know your inner guru and as a way to expand and work the limitations of your body and mind
Meditation: understanding the science of the mind; the three stages of meditation

Zoom Classes: two times per week in the morning (10 am) and two times per week in the evening (19h15 pm).
These classes work in order to review and assimilate the yoga sequences as well as the concepts learned in the previous Sunday.
20 Hours
Research on a new subject + Writing an Essay about it + Essay presentation.
Each student will be motivated to write something that they found relevant for their inner growth.

8h00-8h30: Meditation With Xico.
8h30-10h00: Practical with Xico
10h00-10h30: Pause/Rest
10h30-13h00: Half of the students do Yoga Practice with Xico / The other half will be assisting and observing the class
13h00-14h30: Lunch
14h30-16h30: Practical with Xico Rodrigues: half the students that didn’t practice will be performing asanas through na improvisation method created by Xico and the other half will be assisting
16h30-17h00: Pause/Rest
17h00-[…]: Movement / Intention development/ Yoga Philosophy / Ayurveda with one of our guest teachers: this last part will serve as an inspiration for your week to promote your personal growth.

What will you know after this Training:
You will know by heart the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga , the names of the postures in Sanskrit and the traditional Vinyasa counting.
You will know many different movements that can be introduced into any yoga practice and that can serve as connections in between postures and also a fundamental tool to create unique sequences for the uniqueness of each body.
You will have established a personal practice, following the traditional series of Ashtanga Yoga, but you will also learn to create your unique yoga sequence based on your own lifestyle, body and mind.
You will learn improvisation techniques to develop new patterns and deepen your connection with your intuitive body and mind.
You will learn hands-on adjustments and you will have the opportunity to practice this in one or more real life Yoga class´s with Xico Rodrigues.
You will have an established meditation practice. You will develop visualization processes to train your mind to react according to your wishes, but also the visualization process as a key element to develop your intentions and direction for your future.
You will know how to teach meditation and visualization and how to guide your students.
You will learn to breath and to develop your breathing capacities, as well as how to use different breathing exercises to harmonize your body and mind.
You will learn how to evaluate your students' physical and mental energies.
You will be efficient in the use of the right vocabulary and on how to be fully present and concentrated during class, as well as where to be positioned in class and how to be an humble but efficient leader.
Through this yoga training you will also feel in your own skin and life the powerful effects of yoga, as well as the positive transformative effects that this discipline can bring to your personal, social and spiritual life.
